If you want to be unique in what you do, be yourself.

Quote that typifies me: “If you want to be unique in what you do, be yourself.”

I got into this business because…
…recruitment is people work. I think it's fantastic to work with people, to be involved with people who each have their own story. You always have ups and downs, unexpected things you don't see coming. That makes the work dynamic and hectic. I'm fine with that, enjoy it.

In addition, the IT market because this market never stands still. There is always something new or innovative or a new hype. Ensures that there is plenty to do and experience.

I am incredibly proud of…
…our staff. That is really indescribable!

For example, the Sales team (led by my wife) is so involved, driven and motivated to make every day a success.

I was advised against working with your wife, but we breathe entrepreneurship. She runs the sales floor like she learned from me. The team really sees her as a sales manager and not as my wife. I like that acceptance, because she also shows how good she is at her job.

I once really went on my plate when I…
…reacted too involved and emotionally in business situations. That was typical for me, especially in the beginning. Of course you are constantly dealing with people. The work you do can lead to success, but it can also have a negative effect. If there is a rejection from the customer and you are involved with your candidate because he or she really needs that job. Yes, that has sometimes put me on thin ice with negative emotion. Fortunately, I am and will remain human.

My biggest inspiration is…
…personally, that is without any doubt my father. He has always been an outdoor painter, 30 years of hard work, never complain and go! In addition to unconditional love for his children, he works very hard to pay the bills, through wind and weather. He has always impressed on me that nothing in life comes naturally. If you want something, you can! It starts with the right mindset.
In business, that is Mr. Ruud Hoogendorp, Director of SUPERP (based in Utrecht). In my eyes he is the silent force behind SHAERP. He gave me an opportunity that you can only dream of as a 29 year old young man. He believed in me where others continued to doubt. To this day nothing more than appreciation and respect for Ruud!

I distinguish myself by…
…to be myself, open the door. ????

At least make sure no one else can do it as well as me. I get so much pleasure and satisfaction from my work.

Company employees describe me as…
…colleagues describe me as very professional and as a strong personality. Furthermore, I am known as reliable and I have a direct management style. I move easily at all levels, know how to connect people and I like to make things clear and simple.

As a starting entrepreneur you will absolutely not make it if…
…you don't have the right reliable people around you who also have your best interests at heart. That's right, entrepreneurship is an adventure! It's pioneering! But above all it is just nice to know that you can spar with people, brainstorm or just exchange ideas on a Sunday morning at the coffee table.

I don't want to retire before…
…when I no longer enjoy my work. So that's not an issue for now.
